Okay, real talk: do you actually have any background at all on aiding victims of trauma or expertise in the field of mental health relating to trauma victims? Or are you just kinda saying what you think sounds right?

"being deliberately obtuse"

Would you say he . . . knew nothing?

Anyone got any recommendations for good Anime movies that have come out recently? I saw Wolf Children the Wind Rises about a month ago and found both pretty underwhelming - but I've heard good things about Princess Kaguya and this. Would like to know what other films people have enjoyed.

But they talked about it a lot! We've been told - why would we need to be shown!?

Thing that I am very much looking forward to: In Westeros, it's established that people can choose trial by combat to defend themselves.

I think it has something to do with needing to beat an army vs killing one man.

Because common people only exist to be fodder in this world and can't accomplish anything without a named character to show up and do something.

So don't give them time. You send in a group of King's Guard straight up the stairs, it will be over before it starts. Because these guys DON'T WEAR ARMOR.

Something I NEED from this show is to have Loras get a goddamn sword in his hand at some point and lay waste to a couple of these religious zealots. Seriously - one of the world's best fighters, and some unarmored punks in robes just lead him away.

Oh good, a major female character got raped so that a male character could get some development. Is that fridging? It seems close to it, at least.

Damn it, I was hoping that I was over my crush on Nick Frost. Something about the scene in The World's End where he goes full-rugger on the aliens awakened a fire in me that I feel very, very uncomfortable about.

I really don't believe in this sort of thing - I'll like what I like, and no turd's opinion is going to effect that. There are three major exceptions:

I would extend the same title to both Ben/Leslie and Andy/April on Parks and Recreation. Both cute couples that get together pretty early (relatively) and stay together - playing off of each other's comic sensibilities and staying just as engaging when doing their own things as when they're together.

Dude. I'm not sure if you know - but we men have several gigantic weakpoints on our body. The human body is super frail, regardless of how big you are - and an avid practitioner of self-defense will certainly be competent enough to smash a dude's testicles against his pelvic bone Or go for the eyes. Or do ANYTHING

Marvel nerds asserting that racism and sexism are secondary discussions to "OMG Canon"? That's new.

But seriously, can we complain about that part of VM? Because I kind of hated how Veronica always seemed to be on-top of things in that show until an actual physical confrontation happened. Seriously, girl - if you're gonna talk that much shit, you should probably take a self-defense class to back it up. That tazer

So hyped. So very hyped.

They did report a few years back that the Justice League movie would be directed by Chris Nolan and star Christian Bale.

Pretty much yes. The entire premise is based on major spoilers from FFX and a good percentage of the game is based on checking in with characters from the first game and seeing how they and the world have changed. It is a full-on traditional sequel.
