Is it American funded?  I thought we recently discovered that the American protests were Russian funded.  What is it, musical chairs?

If your party’s secretary is in a room with 99 unvaccinated activist and one is allowed to remain while carrying a Nazi flag, you now have a room with 100 Nazis.

I mean is driving around honking breaking the law?  Is protesting breaking the law?  I dont know how Canada laws work but on its face its a very annoying protest from a bunch of people that will be out of work soon anyways.

I wonder if Erin would be quite as cool with stealing if thieves broke into her home and took her stuff. The thought experiment can assume that these thieves are “suffering from income inequality” or are “desperate”. Perhaps “shit has even been real” lately for them?

Yeah, my sympathies are with the people who paid (a lot—they’re not cheap) for epi pens to save their lives and didn’t get them, not with the vandals and thieves that _really_ need a hit of meth and trashed the life-saving pens. They’re not stealing food and blankets to care for their families, they’re just stealing

I should’ve stopped reading the first time Erin offered excuses for criminal behavior. But I kept reading and found more of it.

This weird apologist take is just bad. These people are thieves, stealing things from OTHER people who legitimately bought something despite the poor economy. This isn’t a stick-it-to-bezos thing. This is impacting folks like you and me who work to pay their bills, then get their hard-earned shit stolen by someone who

The Rivian is a genuinely good deal for the price they’re asking. I thought this when it was first announced, and I think it even more after reading this comparison article.

That’s likely intentional to push buyers into higher priced trims (better margins for Ford), otherwise most buyers would likely opt for the Pro + extended pack.

If they can really command 98% of the normal price for selling a car with 88% of the capacity, they have minimal incentive to change.

Tesla has build quality and marketing scams that would make old British Leyland wince. And a cultish following willing to overlook those thing that would make Scientology envious.

This is one of the dumbest false equivalences I’ve ever seen

If you have an *EV qualifier there, I get it, but the first car?

“I don’t want to “Eat the Rich” or whatever crusade thing, I just want them to pay fair taxes.”

Also been audited by the IRS for a hilariously small amount of money. There’s absolutely no way the amount they wanted from me paid the hourly rate it took for the tax person to figure it out, but then this dude wrecks the IRS for millions (billions?) and BRAGS about it.

Yet another reminder that we need to Eat The Rich instead of idolizing them

he also bought 750M more in tesla shares during the dip after his twitter poll manipulation. he also got way more than 14.7M in tax breaks. that was the absolute minimum value they were going to give him. del valle had to give him 68 million in tax breaks. then the state gave him another 50.

If there’s a $39k Cybertruck in Winter 2022 I’ll drink my own urine on a Jalopnik livestream.

Oddly enough, as a regular person with a regular job, I pay quite a bit of my income in taxes, percentage-wise. Somewhere to the tune of nearly 30%, between federal and state (not including sales, etc.).
