Not really, I work with lots of wealthy people. Some have brand news cars all the time, some drive used. 5k isn’t going to bankrupt someone who is already wealthy. More like not buying new is a good way of staying out of debt.

Why not if you can keep cars updated with a simple software update. I mean, my iphone 6 is pretty old but still seems ‘newish’ to me after the new software update.

I don’t think leases had as much to do with this as 80+ month auto loans.
