@Doug-E-Fresh-91: "they only come up to your knees" - that's what the song says anyway.
@datsunzep: Hands down BF1943 was the best value for money that I have ever spent on a video game. Although, I do agree with you about the maps. When I really got into it, I thought BF1943 would be a great model for future XBLA releases. Jump in, jump out. Decent controls, simple design, limited classes with zero…
@JonathanATTY: i was using the most conservative estimates i could find to emphasize my point that it was not, as the OP said, "ridiculously easy to accidentally overdose on" LSD. the wiki entry for LSD lists the median lethal dose as between 200 micrograms/kg to 1mg/kg. so i assumed the highest avg dose per hit…
@Mokona: so they didn't use anything then. they probably weren't as prepared as i will be.
@Mr McGrumpypants: The very hard difficulty is pretty tough in the beginning, but by the end (or really well before the end) it gets as easy as the Very Easy setting.
@thatdamnprinny: this came up in an rdr board i was on. people were asking what time/place rockstar should set a game in next. i suggested that their formula would work really well if you played as a resistance fighter in occupied france. the narrative would be awesome. the open world environment would breath new…
@Sickofitall: yeah, i really love bf1943 and was excited to try the demo for BC2. after 10 minutes, i was done with that.
@dowingba: your right, some people can. but not most. it is very rare that we view our lives truly objectively. people rarely question their actions and motivations. and this is one means to achieve that.
@senselocke: your right, i shouldnt generalize my own experiences onto others. i have a friend whose family has a history of schizophrenia and for that reason he never tripped.
@dowingba: and many other people live normal productive lives. lots of people get messed up on drugs and cant get their life together. same thing with alcohol or anything else that attracts dependency.
@zhuangtse: 3 days?!? that's crazy. it reminds me of this guy my friends and i met in a weird shop in chicago (essentially, it sold old junk). anyway, he proceeds to tell us a story about how he was mixing some LSD in his basement, anticipating a friend of his would be picking him up to go to a party. the friend…
@dowingba: actually no. to overdose on LSD you'd need to take at least 20 hits. thats assuming you weigh 50kg and using the high-end of the range for dose/hit and the low-end for the median lethal dose.
@Fernando Jorge: i'm more inclined to agree with you. what may seem like heavy-handed tropes may reveal more about a japanese interpretation of the genre. in some sense, as outsiders or "the other," japanese devs can offer a different viewpoint combining their understanding of the genre with their own cultural…
@Mokona: no. what do they use?
@MetalSonic7: no man, that game sucked. it's just the same thing over and over again. plus, everybody just tries to kill you in free roam.
for how many of them will i need to learn japanese to play?
@Mokona: i'll cross that bridge when i come to it. first things first. i need an epic supply of adult diapers, protein bars and speed.
@pandafresh: sometimes you have to sacrifice yourself on the altar of the video game gods
@ca$h: this
