I wonder how fast it will be to recognize me? If it's <1 second, handy. If it's slower, it'll just be a "hey, look what my phone can do. Cool, eh?" feature.

Why so serious? Most people understand "big brained" to mean "intelligent" even though that's not scientifically accurate. We're not all brain surgeons or curious enough about it to look it up. So you knew that (or looked it up to seem smart), cool. Next time, why don't you be nice and point it out to people

I was about to post the same thing - correlation =/= causation... I'd argue that smart people tend to have more friends, but having more (facebook) friends doesn't increase your brain's size. How could it? :/

I rarely handle physical cash and I'm definitely not wealthy by any definition. It's harder to track expenses with real cash...

That is a terrible analogy. what they are doing is more like charging you more money for the tires - if you don't pay, you don't get tires at all. And I don't even want to ponder the idea of buying secondhand food... Buying a secondhand game means you a) have to wait longer and b) stand the risk of a scratched disk

Seems remarkably stupid to me. Hey, let's spend $5m+ on a rock in a trench, good idea. No, paying our employees better and providing benefits is too expensive, but let's drop enough to pay for 100 people's salaries on a rock. Nope, not stupid at all. Let alone the starving kids in Africa situation. Hint: Pay

Would have been an ok video if you could hear them saying stuff to it, rather than that terrible "music" that they had playing...

Somehow I don't think the electric carriage will catch on... I always thought the horses were a part of the "experience" that people wasn't when they choose to ride in the horse drawn carriage.

Perhaps parade on someone's rain would do? Not sure how that metaphor would work out, though.

There's the chance that you've got something illegal that you didn't know was illegal (or didn't know was there, particularly if you have kids ;) ) Then there's just the fact that it's an unnecessary invasion of privacy.

Awww giz didn't get an invite? I wonder why? :p still, seems kinda petty to me since that was a while ago, but hey - petty and childish is what Apple does best. (you're holding it wrong - ie it's never our fault, etc)

I'm guessing the people wishing to feel the effects would not take the "don't get drunk" pill :D

Here's a girlfriend for you. Get back to me when you grow up enough to realize that, while Android tablets may be boring to you, other people disagree and don't want to buy your magical iPad.

Probably because 99% of Camry drivers have little/no interest in performance mods and 95% of performance oriented drivers would never consider the Camry? The market would be insanely small...

BOOOOOO!! Searching for a movie once and then deciding to add the DVD if it's not on streaming is much simpler than searching for it twice. This is very inconvenient. I don't see how they will make more money by increasing hassle and disposing with the Netflix name for DVD mailing. Adding video games is nice,

No idea. Didn't know people hated on Apple for it. I barely pay Apple news much mind... I'm just saying, it isn't a new feature...

Lion aped an old Windows feature with fullscreen apps ;) Try hitting F11 on any Windows PC with an app open. Definitely not the other way around. Live Mesh is on Win7 too, predates Lion. Not sure what you're getting at, since Apple was doing all the copying here.

We've had full screen apps on Windows for quite a while. Try hitting F11 (most apps).

Did you read the article? It clearly says that it gives you random songs, not based on your current music or any search.

All this tells me is that people are stupid... The things necessary for life should be at the top (clean water, food, shelter) followed by things that help make life easier/comfortable (electricity, a/c, heat, refrigeration, running water, toilets, soft beds). Then the things that make us more productive
