I still really want to see a straight up adaptation of Lovecraft's work (the kind Del Toro always seemed to have in mind). It's the fantasy elements and the kind of shared universe that Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos make up that were always the appeal for me. I would love to see the Nameless City and the subterranean

And to think, I was impressed by the Unusual Suspects ep of The X Files.

Seriously?!

That means means the entire cast of Homicide, Mulder, Scully, the Lone Gunmen and if I remember correctly some nonsense called Ryan Caulfield: Year One that was on UPN of all places. Naturally all these examples involve Munch.

Does anyone else find themselves somewhat annoyed by the idea of this shitshow spinoff outliving the original?

So Greg Berlanti creates a whole bunch of comic book shows is now off to create a show that reminds literally everyone of The Mentalist. Which was created by the guy who produces Gotham. HMMMMMM…..

I hope this doesn't upset you more, but I just noticed that I misspelled Psych. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

CBS's Crime time in Primetime in the 90s would have jumped at that.

Called for high sticking!!

I guess I should have felt the same about Jonathan Frakes in Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction but he always looked like he was having so much fun.

A show about someone who has no business investigating crimes who is brilliant at solving crimes? Sounds original… I mean aside from The Mentalist and Castle and Murder She Wrote and Psyche and White Collar and….

That's Chief Miles O'Berlanti!

Ehh…

Yeah but seeing Joe-El desperately trying to save his planet while his society turns against him could be great drama, especially since we all know that it's leading up to, well… BOOM!!

If you're going to do a Superman prequel why his grandfather? Isn't Jor-El (his actual father) as the character who is already very well established and as an influence on Superman (Ya know, the character we actually care about) the one who there might be a point in exploring?

Is that where all those cats came from?!?

I remember I was grateful that news of the OJ/white bronco chase didn't break in on that Friday night's episode of The X Files.

I've always felt that any idea or character can potentially work on screen if the right approach is found and maybe that could work with Gambit as well. But if the animated series version of him was accurate to the comic books, forget it. That version of Gambit now comes off like his inspiration was Pepé Le Pew.

I'm actually fine with Harbour because it seems like such an out of the blue choice. I wouldn't want to pin an actor down to one type of roll. Ya never know, he might make a great Hellboy.

David Harbour? Is Hellboy now a passive aggressive bureaucrat?
