Then why even fucking comment... keep your shitty MAGA memes to yourself.

“Old, 2 Door, Cute-Ute”? Gotcher cute Ute right hmyah.

I’ve been gearing up to watch how IGMetall vs. He-Lon plays out. If he thinks building a factory in Germany was challenging, I can’t wait ‘til he goes head-to-head with one of the most powerful and progressive manufacturing unions... and after he folds, having to come back to Texas (yee fucking haw) and explain to his

I’m going by memory, which has been less reliable as of late.  It was probably higher.

As an ignorant kid, I was “approved” for a 17% loan on a (1 year) used F150... I had literally no credit built up, but was paid decent. I ate that loan for a year to build my credit, which it did. My bank was happy to refi after I hadn’t missed a payment, etc. for 12 months.

We’ll be glad when our aging XC90 can finally be sent off to its next owner, whether it be scrapyard or person. Its replacement will likely be a hybrid, but who knows as we plan on getting another 5 years out of it. By then, here just north of the Bay Area, the already impressive (by my luddite MN standards) charging

My Scout came from Redding, CA where it was parked in a field in 1993.  Coming from MN, and working on a couple binders there I was floored when I was able to get my OE door-hinge screws (philips head) out without much ado.  I was able to get behind the front fender at the backing plates & douse with penetrant, & a

I might get Kinja’d, but here’s a good look at the whole project holistically. I’ve put 1k miles on it now, and it’s currently getting a full gasket replacement as the original oil pan and block-off plate (where the other half of the V8 would be) gaskets finally loosened up with the fresh hot oil bath and recent light

After fully rewiring my 68 scout with a modern wiring harness... getting the old, worn out stock turn signal replaced, rewired, and talking nicely with everything else was a months-long, four-figure ordeal.

I’ve seen this setup referred to as a “Half Spider” amongst some Scout owners.

After years of trying to dissuade neighbors and others from driving their sleds through the corner of his property and across his driveway (in the late 70's, early 80's), my Great Uncle in N. Minnesota used to mark out the areas he didn’t want snowmobilers crossing his land with spare baling twine and chunks of

Remarkably little gas! No joke... after making huge batches of sauerkraut or Kimchi, or grilling a pile of CSA fall veg, he was in his element.

A friend’s pooch we called “Insinkerator” loved any and all crucifer scraps.  Cabbage cores, kale stems, Whole raw sprouts, the works.  There wasn’t a fruit or veg we allowed him that he wouldn’t eat, but stinky cauli’s and cabbage were his Jam.

Commuter residences are being planned and built in Santa Rosa and other communities along the 101.  They also approved $8m in funding toward converting old hotels into transition homeless shelters for families.

Why not have battery arrays of different Kwh’s mounted on trailers? Pull in to a dealership or independent charging station that has the size you select (different sizes for different ranges?), have Bill or Norma unhook your battery, wheel it into a stall to charge... pull charged trailer from adjacent stall, wheel it

Absolutely. They have the money to do shit like that at scale without too much industry shock, and why not start the industry with the very ships and ports that’ll be storing and transporting Hydrogen to begin with?

Use it for cruise ships and cargo transport.  Start the infrastructure there, and eliminate oceangoing carbon pollution at the same time.

Maybe Big Hydrogen needs to put their money where their mouth is and instead of learning how to transport Hydrogen overseas, maybe push to have every ocean transport convert to Hydrogen power first, and start the infrastructure there.

I learned in a wide open dirt field, in a Scout Terra 3 spd. where I could mash the brakes, pop the clutch, and spin tires without too much worry. My older brother (4 years my senior, in 7th grade) could reach over and yank it out of gear if necessary.

IHC as a spinoff of VW/Navistar. Lineup would include a small Scout 80, Mid-Size Scout 800, and a larger Scout II. All would spec as two door, with 4 door “Traveler” or “Travelall” versions available.
