Wouldn’t white noise also work? Since it just sort of drowns out all other noises. Maybe I’m getting it wrong, to be fair I never saw this movie. 

YES!  I finally got around to watching A Quiet Place a few weeks ago and within the first 20 minutes I said to my GF “So the combined intelligence of all the armed forces and scientists in the country couldn’t invent some kind of giant dog whistle?”  What a stupid fucking movie....

I’ll never understand why they haven’t held a second referendum. Obviously, the representatives can’t just overrule the voters, but there’s nothing wrong with asking voters again.
