Season 2 had more action and more interesting characters, but the writing was no where near as great as the first.

All great points. I would add though that a year is extremely optimistic.

Marvel would not have contracted their characters to Netflix indefinitely. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Drew and especially Punisher and Daredevil are too vital to the Marvel Universe.

I’m sure their rights to these characters is under a timed contract. Feige wouldn’t release such prominent characters to Netflix indefinitely. He had no use for them in the near future. At some point Disney/Marvel may opt to take those rights away, especially if they have a Disney streaming platform instead.

Netflix is at a point now where they are not very different from WB/DC. They throw shit at the wall and when something sticks they do it again.

I honestly watched about 4 episodes (Jessica Jones) and could not continue. I didn’t hate it. I just didn’t like it.

The Defenders sucked because Netflix’s Marvel is just not that good. The first season of Daredevil was exceptional, the second was okay. Everything else is all just mediocre.
