Technology has vastly changed how audio and visual entertainment is captured. In both instances, takes are accepted way too early with the assumption they can be fixed in post. Another inherent issue with modern music is how we listen to it. Due to lives becoming “busier”, most music is played in the background to other activity. Music that acts more like a soundtrack to our life has become more prominent as people stop actually listening to music and just have it playing for ambience.
