It’s going to be interesting to see where Marvel goes after Avengers 4. I expect Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4 to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe significantly. I don’t foresee them completely addressing their villian problem, but I also don’t expect DC to do any better.

I agree that DC’s characters are better known and iconic, but I think this is their failing. They just aren’t human enough. They are hard to place in a live action setting, where Marvel’s characters have always had a more grounded approach to their design, origins, flaws and personalities.
