...0-60 is about the only thing one can safely do on public roads near the limit. For as much as people like to hype handling you’re a fucking moron if you try to push a car to its handling limits on the street. There’s a certain level of handling competency from the car you can use, and that’s it. That’s all the car

I like light, agile cars with good steering feel. I’ve driving a Model 3, and the steering is precise, but it’s very video-game like. Not much feedback to speak of. It does handle well, but like you said, they’re heavy. That’s not a knock specifically against Tesla, that’s just the nature of EVs. My dislike of the

Nice to see an engine in this that isn’t shared with a U-Haul truck.

Ex corvette owner here. Nope, C4 and C5 platforms are QUITE different. C5 is transaxle and does not have the voluminous side sills the C4 had. Much more rigid, too. I agree on the C6 being a reworked C5.

Now that is a reasonable amount of extra bodies to require a minivan! As opposed to the “had a kid, had to buy a minivan!”

(to be clear, obviously if someone wants a minivan, they should buy it for any reason. It’s the disconnect in “needing to” that I roll my eyes at)

I’m prepared for an auto only (slow automatic at that), 3400lb, SEDAN (oh excuse me perhaps a gran coupe abomination), with 210hp, and priced higher than it should be. I’m bracing myself for these aforementioned disappointments. I already know this motherfucker wont have a manual

C4 is the correct answer. I recently picked up an ‘85 with the 4+3 manual, w/ 110K miles, for $4300. Very fun to drive, with tons of low end torque (so it feels faster than it actually is).

The Luqiao CMA Super Factory isn’t really a “Geely (discount product)“ facility, since it’s largely operated by the Volvo (premium product) division and is used for models on the CMA platform - which includes Geely, Volvo and Link & Co. and is largely used on the more expensive products they sell. Complaining about

Chinese car. Don’t care.

C4?

Noooooooo we fell for it again.

LOL wut? This is EXACTLY what conservatives want when they talk about “free market” and “less regulations”. They want, and have gotten all they asked for and more, the right to screw customers as hard as possible.

As a manual driver, I find lift throttle regen to be a lot like engine braking, just stronger, which is something I miss when I have to drive AT equipped cars.

Depends honestly. If someone specifically asks why we didn’t get a stick in the Fit, I answer honestly - we both needed to drive it, and while my wife said she’d learn, she’s just more comfortable with the automatic.

Don’t mind Margin Of Error, he never misses an opportunity to shit on Mazda since he had a bad experience with his Speed6 years ago.

What the hell is this rant about?

I can actually answer this! I’m a former automotive engineer with a focus on aerodynamics!

Consult your doctor if you have an allergic reaction after using Stellantis.

As someone who test drove both and ended up with the S4, the Type-S is just lacking that “something” special. That James May “fizz in your pants” if it may. That, and for a 2021MY car, the tech feels last-gen, the interior feels SMALL for how large the outside of the car is; and I really REALLY don’t like push button
