It is so refreshing to read an article that does not fetishize nurses as larger than life angels or super-heroes. We are human beings. The deification stuff becomes a mind fuck. To be fair, it’s not only white female celebrities that use the “it’s sexist!” defense whenever they face any criticism at all. I’ve seen it in “feminist” spaces such as this blog, and in a lot of other places. Feminism doesn’t mean that women can’t be criticised.
Actually in this day and age of Trump bootlickers, Twitter is about the only place to whistleblow. Most whistleblowing programs are aimed at protecting the agency/hospital/state (as a federal auditor seen whistleblowers get shut down going through the “right path”).

Did we read the same article? Hell, it’s even in the headline, this is focused on the Best Direction award and the article goes into detail about why it’s not deserving of that particular award. That’s not an award for lots of people - it’s an award for the director.
Everyone works for a union in hollywood, so they have already negotiated what acceptable practices are... and directors don’t get to overrule the union.
Most Hollywood stuff is done by union labor. Almost all video game work is done by non-union labor. Might have something to do with that.
