Probably on his way to the annual convention of the Friends of Italian Opera.

Gotcha. Thanks for (further) clarifying.

A small note: Bourdain actually admired Ina Garten. He specifically noted in one of his books that she could really cook.

I do the same, particularly on great, but low-resonance, articles.

I wish that stars were still available for articles, because this would get mine. Thank you.

Hocus Pocus 2: Botox Boogaloo

This line slayed me. I am slewn.

Excellent! It warms my calcified ventricles to see women and girls activating (and getting acknowledged for it) against a known predator. His label can kick all the rocks for that limp response, though.

Chubby, delicious Germans. Served on a crusty, yeast roll with spicy mustard.

I was in a play in which one of the two main female actors broke her ankle onstage, during the first act. Not a soul knew she was so seriously injured until after the curtain call, because she played right through it.

I went to Lavarious’s site, and read his bio. He sounds too much like a cousin of mine, up to and including the titles of his original works of “art”.

My grade school (on Rhein Main AFB) actually went on field trips to the AFN studios when we were stationed in Germany. We met Herb Glover (Gasthaus in the house)!

Congratulations and many thanks for an interesting and often insightful blog!

Two small things:

Too true. I actually was out canvassing for the mid-terms, and spoke to everyone who gave me even a slight opening about voting in local elections. National- and state-level, sure, but those local offices are where you start, and where you build for the future.

This line:

Bullshit. You are excusing him. I do not.

This is an excellently written review. Thank you, Cate Young.
