Even if he rarely got to shoot pictures which were any good after the 70's (Maverick being a notable exception), his work in the 70's alone was impressive enough to make for a great career. RIP.

As an end of the year reward to myself for getting to 1000 movies (final total 1005), I closed out the year by finally knocking off a bunch of classic movies in genres I especially liked (3 westerns, 2 martial arts, and a thriller) that I had put off too long. The spawn only figures in significantly for Shadow of… (and apparently Song of… played by Dean Stockwell) and doesn't even show up in …Goes Home (nor does Nick's drinking I believe but that's another matter). But yeah Nick and Nora are wonderful.

MASH just wasn't the same after Radar left and just took that last step into mediocrity. They just didn't know how to replace him and Klinger was a lousy fit in that role.
I've already got my review of Season 2 ready. Big step down after a great first season.
