The Starkiller actually did something (and clearly outpowered the Death Star by destroying a number of worlds at once and destroyed a freaking star to do it). The redone Death Star wasn't even finished and didn't do anything besides get destroyed. It was less intimidating than the Ewoks.

You should probably watch more movies since that is a really common thing of "if you didn't see the body they aren't dead". There was no evidence he was dead aside from the unsearched plane sinking. Finn thought he was dead, but the audience was given no reason to think that was actually true.

The Empire did fall and in it's place a new dictatorship took it's place. They may be similar but it's not uncommon in real life for a new dictatorship to set itself up as it's own distinct thing with a completely new group of people in charge regardless of how different it is from what came before.

Return of the Jedi falls apart at the midpoint (and was the one Star War that was worse than I remembered on rewatch), forces cameos and appearances from Boba Fett (who does nothing but suck and die quickly), Yoda (who does nothing but die quickly), and the Death Star (which does nothing but suck and die quickly).

I didn't think anyone actually thought Poe was dead. We didn't see a body and the it was only assumed by Finn that he was since the ship was destroyed before it could sink. Besides the fact that it was Oscar Issac (a confirmed star of the series), it was really obvious he was thrown from the ship and was cming back.

Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas itself with family and pulled in a nice haul. Did a bunch of baking, did my annual rewatch of Die Hard with family and the MST3K episode of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians on my own, and finally got my sister to give You’re the Worst a chance (which she predictably liked).

It'll be a shame if they go with the same approach for Top Gun 2.

It's fairly funny, but not nearly as hilarious as the other movie mentioned in Hot Fuzz, Bad Boys II. It's worth watching as a fan of Hot Fuzz and for some stupid laughs, but don't expect anything of quality to show up.

You mean the guy who went to Mexico to kill a man in cold blood?

And it's only fair that people would want to know who she is and what she's been in before since she is an unknown with a prominent but memorable role.

The Cremator and Angst which are two awesome if not that well known foreign horror language movies, the dramas The Angry Silence and The Ascent, the thrillers Wake in Fright, The Driver and A Man Escaped, and the shorts The Red Balloon and World of Tomorrow (and really all of Don Hertzfeldt for that matter) which I

Despite what Depp thinks, Australia is not his island.

They certainly have been trying for a while now and cut her a ton of slack, but at this point they just have no clue how to deal with it and she has no interest in getting help.

Thanks. I really wish I could do something to help, but despite seeing the family semi-regularly, I haven't seen her in a couple years and she's even distanced herself from them. It's destroyed her marriage, career, and she's on the brink of not having a place to live since noone is going to be paying her bills

My cousin recently relapsed on heroin and the family has been going through and pulling the plug on financial support as a last ditch means to help so that's going to be a nice undercurrent for the holidays. Hopefully for everyone's sake they can forget about that for a while and hopefully she is able to make another

The semi-annual purging of the DVR is on as I try to get it down before shows come back and pad my movie total for the year. Easily the best so far has been What We Do in the Shadows so let's go with that.

Well there is Joel in Austin.

Poor Betas on Amazon. Apparently Karan Soni (Other Space, Blunt Talk, and Safety Not Guaranteed) was a star on the show.

Yes it does. I wasn't sold on it as quickly as everyone else here, but it grew on me and had a great first season.

I thought that was just something he told his mother.
