I think Genesis is having a great moment with this, unexpectedly. The GV80 surpassed the sales number of all others in the lineup combined. The GV80 in a good color/option combination is pretty hard to come by right now.

A crossover based Truck is happening soon. Later this year or next year but it’s a really tall wall to climb to win over “truck guys” I believe they do have expertise in making these. Hyundai makes all kinds of heavy duty equipment.

Had a 2011 Elantra for 9 years. Zero dollar spent outside of basic maintenance. Upgraded to a Genesis.

Can confirm... the cost of ownership on those are just dirt cheap.

HALF MAST THOUGH!

I expect Santa Fe pricing.

Not too far. I volunteer to witness this.

I’d definitely consider an EV if I owned a house. I think EV charging costs about 1/4 compared to conventional ICE fueling. Also no wasting energy in stop and go but then... I live in an apartment. I don’t know if I want to buy a house here yet. My 1B1B is $1700 already and that’s cheap for my area.

We all know that Mazda will never happen but this Genesis looks almost production ready. If the facelifted G70 had a coupe version, this would be it!

Holy fuck!!! PLEASE put the V8 or the twin turbo 3.5L and this will be my next Genesis. I don’t have a good access to EV charging. This is so sad. Please don’t be EV only.

I think it’s going to start around 40k and max out around 50k.

My friend’s Lexus dealer charges more than $100.

You want to rely on uncertain discounts from dealerships? Manufacturer backed discounts seem FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR more reliable to me.

I work in general aviation down in Southern California. Every time I go to the airport, it feels like I’m attending a MAGA rally. As non white, I feel really out of place.

Such a missed opportunity to make it like an actual penis.

People tend to ignore cons on old Toyotas. The V8 is underpowered and thirsty AF!!! at any speed. It’s still a luxury branded car. Probably won’t break down as often as others but just servicing costs premium and parts aren’t Corolla cheap. Just cheaper than Germans. Cost of ownership will be more than you expect.

If you are recalling an event from the 60s. You aren’t just not young. You are a fossil.

Hope they don’t neuter it like they did to the Q50 and Q60.

Recent Nissan sporty cars have not been great to drive. All the reviews I see (such as the Q50) “lots of power but very meh to drive”

The C8 is seriously marked up right now. No longer a budget supercar. You actually have to spend supercar money.
