EV or hybrid is the answer to this. They generate 0 emission idling. ICE cars get hit hard on MPG when they idle

Fuel cell powered techs aren’t all there yet. It’s still pretty expensive to build the catalyst and some other present short comings such as infrastructures but once they figure out how to make it cheaper and more efficient... it could be the next big thing. The manufacturers are not trying to make profit off of this

The new “Miata is the answer”

The US car scene is actually pretty colorful compared to others. I get reminded of this every time I travel overseas. I for one, like red :)

Let’s say... cars got cheaper all of sudden. Do you think Corolla buyers are going to buy Corollas? nah... they will be buying the next one up, the Camry. It’s not the car that got expensive. Also I think the MSRP is pretty consistent with the inflation and.. oh... cars are muuuuuuuuuuuuch better than ever and they

I take “lease” is something you do when you have a reliable income and want to replace the car every few years or so keeping the stable fresh. I’m trying to get into luxury brands in a year or so depending on the job next year. I will probably lease one and keep leasing. Keep them fresh and under warranty.

I’m all for buying both new or used. I personally bought all brand new. Yes, I could have saved some money by slightly used and not losing value as much but I never regretted other than the current one, only because the horsepower (never downsize horsepower people! unless MPG is high on the priority) I know the car’s

I’m actually waiting for the next recession to kick in. So I can go buy things cheap like a house in California and what not (I have a very reliable income source) Harder it crashes, better it is for me. I know it’s not right to wish such things... but it’s where I will have advantages.

Americans don’t buy cars because they have to. Doesn’t matter how reliable they become, people will keep buying new ones.

I doubt the US Navy fields its CSGs with such vulnerability. A CSG consists of a crap ton of defenses and their foremost mission is to protect the carrier not projection of force. Running cost of a CSG is equivalent to some developed nation’s entire budget. Even if it succeeds to land a hit. That would be the end of

They have a decent military but not even... I mean not even close to be a match for a single US Navy carrier strike group. That’s just the Navy too. The US was able to submit Iraq in a few days 3 decades ago(when Iraq had a functioning military) The current US military power is faaaaaaaaaaaar more advanced than that.

This is hilarious.

Didn’t know TCR cars were so readily available for purchase.

I understand. The Stinger is an exciting car but being stuck in heavy traffic constantly just kills the point. I hear you about the traffic I live near LA and I got so sick of it, recently moved to near my work (now I only drive under 10 miles a day) My daily driving kinds kills the “want” for such cars. At this

Yea MPG isn’t a high point for the Stinger but you know it’s engineered to be able to run on regular gas.

The used G80 is a screaming deal as the replacement is just around the corner. Esp the 2nd gen Hyundai Genesis(basically the G80) is dirt cheap.

The G70 is sportier and feels more luxurious but the back seat is pretty cramped and the pricing is still noticeably higher. The Sting in the other hand, it’s a hatchback and much roomier also cheaper.

You can actually buy the Veloster TCR from Hyundai (i30 TCR is available in Europe) backed by Hyundai Motorsports division. I think they are priced a little over 100k. That is dirt cheap for a race car.

Better” meaning: more efficient, cleaner, faster, safer, more reliable, modern techs. Also are you really holding onto your car because of the environment???

What’s wrong with desiring better and newer things?
