The first Hyundai Genesis was planned to have its own luxury brand but then the recession hit. That’s why Hyundai decided not to go that route just yet. They had a dedicated factory just for the Equus and the Genesis from the beginning. 

I think it’s a really good buy. Roomy, efficient, looks different yet not that ugly, not too expensive.
