Let us not forget the Bulgemobile:

A first-gen Honda CBX. A Benelli Sei. A Guzzi V-8. Yes, I like cylinders.

Ha. That sounds like fun. There are some people reproducing Isetta parts. They’re pretty well supported for a vintage microcar.

Yeah, I’ve heard that too about the Isetta. Those little cars kept the factory open. Show a little respect BMW.

Subaru of America did deny the existence of the 360 for a long time. Funny enough, Road & Track was relatively kind to the 360. They liked that you could drive it with the pedal to the floor the entire time and noted that if everyone drove a microcar, it would pretty much solve all our problems.

Right. I feel like it’s kinda weird what a bad rap C3s get. When they first came out, Chevy was putting engines in them making 300-500hp! In 1968, that’s an insane amount of power. Heck, it’s pretty damn good even today! Yeah by the end of the run they had been severely nerfed for emissions reasons, but most of that

As someone who grew up in the UK an still lives in Europe, I’ve always been fascinated by American attitudes towards vehicles and brands (some justified, some WTF?). This may go some way to explaining that.

I am stunned - how did I not know this? This is the exact thing I love to read about. You’d thing that countries in Central Asia would suck up these cars en masse. Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan for example have a huge need for used cars, despite - or maybe because of - recently enlargened CIS toll barriers.

Hmm... Sounds like something I would do ;)

Used car over 15 years old can be sold in China. The caveat is that they need to be inspected and emission tested every year after the 6th year and every 6 months after the 15th year, which makes them incredibly impractical to own. Plus, most big cities do not allow cars with old emission standards to enter the inner

Banned from Chinese roads? What are the rules, specifically?

I’m emphatically not saying this is you, but I can envision a rock bottom scenario that looks something like

BTTF&F

stouts are a type of beer. hops are a flower that add bitterness (and other less pronounced flavors) to beer, and beer nerds like to joke that too many brewers add too much hops to beer. see also: hatred for all the IPA hipsters, where IPAs are known for being way too hoppy

I like the A-Arm independent front suspension. Stouts are so much better without overdoing the hops.

It’s amazing that they watched Ford roll out the Bronco, which appears to be a wonderful homage to the original, and then still decided to forge ahead with this abomination. They gave little teases as to indicate that we were all really in for a pleasant surprise. There is nothing pleasant about the design of this

Those are all terrible, but let’s face it: that design is terrible and can’t be helped.

Oh man, I love this cutaway image of a 1956 to 1960 Saab 93. It’s such a riot of vivid color and shape and feels so whimsical and, I don’t know, active for a technical drawing. It’s like a crazy friend who always seems maybe a little high or drunk but she’s always up for whatever crazy plan and maybe she gets you into

I have the refrigerator down pretty well by now but ask me where to find a colander or mixing bowl and I am completely stumped. I literally only know where the silverware, basic dishes, and water glasses are at any given time.

I love everything about this. First off, it’s nice to have the same money go to a ton of skilled engineers and technicians rather than just changing hands. It’s employing people. Plus, instead of trading stock, it's actually increasing the stock of these cars that are available. Kudos to this guy.
