I would run down to the nearest train tracks and see if I could find a CSX heavy-duty pickup with retractable rails. It might be a longshot, but when the roads are clogged with traffic and looters, that’s the last place I want to be stuck. I could drive on the rail OR along the railbeds on the gravel. Or the roads.

It’s pretty good and very filling. You definitely need to go a little heavy on some sort of condiment to break up the starch overload between potato and bun. I’m a Chicagoan who couldn’t bear to put ketchup on a hot dog but that’s usually what my wife does, along with cheese.

Why are we like this?

My family returned to the US in 1960. Fast food and especially McDonalds had grown much more common in the 3.5 years we were out of the country. I thought McDonalds was great. A&W  was  another favorite and when I went to the University of Oklahoma, I was introduced to Sonic. I still like all three.

My brain is a library of weird and pointless things I remember for apparently no reason. It’s exhausting and has limited value other than calling coworkers and bloggers out on inconsistencies.
