There is only one speaker; the other is the mic.

Yes, the mic (right side) is down there as well as the speaker (left). Thats how it is on my 3Gs, not sure about the 4 since the lead shot shows the speaker on the right side.

Left one is a speaker, right one is the mic. At least on my 3Gs it is, not sure about that lead shot unless they changed the layout for the 4.
