uh ok, it was a golf-. Thanks for ruining this small joke turned childhood car moment for me.

was just about to say, the only awesome golf i remember was my dad's 86 rabbit-wolfsburg.
Definitely yes. And I am pretty sure that paint job is the true secret as to why its so fast.
All of the aluminum and stainless would instead be gold, and the wheel spokes would be shaped like swords. And of course whale penis leather, everywhere.
Most memorable toy car I had was my matchbox cosworth escort rally with the huge tail/head spoiler and mobil blue and white livery. To see this new escort with cosworth infused in it, would be so immensely awesome, I would invent a new religion dedicated to it.
Well done sir! I always love office space references. :)
Had a tan 91 EX sedan, dad sold it less than a year before I got my license. Years later, I still remind him of it. Put over 200k mi on that car, putting it through so much abuse, still ran amazingly well when we passed it on.
Oh hells yes. I was raised with this as my dream car, and I think it would be a travesty not to pass on such fine taste to our future generations.
Really?
Well written piece; you have all the reason to be critical and skeptical of such movements. Anyone who lives in urban centers knows that racism and classism both still exist, and that the sheisters who profit will wear whatever mask they need to pull a fast one. I see dozens of hipster coffee and cupcake shops being…
I have to agree. This thing looks amazing; the composition of paint and bodywork is awesome. Intakes on the side make me think of a harrier, and the lights definitely scream pagani craziness.
Not sure how the XJ220 was a failure. I had a read maisto model of it, and that car is what introduced me to jaguar, and made me think of it as cool and legendary. Seems like a shortsighted and advertising-geek view to call the xj220 a failure.
These two are definitely scheming
Whistler multi fuel with the nice PTO winch in front, fairly perferrable imo to the still amazing power wagon
Yeah I thought the pinzgauer would be alot better than most of the ones on this list. From what little I have read, seem to be really good off road vehicles for sneaking/hauling spec ops ninjas
Yeah I don't think this engine swap worked out. But definitely a great idea to save time and literally "drop it" in.
Agreed, I actually need a truck for the work I do, and also some hobbies I have. Would love to have a truck like this. Still love my dinosaur-live-axle F-150 though, last model to have it ;)
HEMTT, because of 4 wheel steering, and palletized loading system for yourwheelchair or scooter.
childhood neighbor had one of these, restored it to use in parades from a pile a scrap. Engine whine was distinctly awesome. Would totally use this to drive to work/class
take that mounted mg and upgrade it to a mah deuce so you can do maximum damage to surrounding areas :)
