Yeah, I'm not sure Gizmodo got the hypothesis right (although I haven't read the 2000-page proposal...). Basically, isn't all of this related to the holographic principle? String theorists have long posited that there could be a two-dimensional membrane surrounding our universe (eg the cosmological horizon?) inscribed

Arndt is only credited with "additional screenplay materials" on Brave, and Oblivion was more of a last-minute polish.

Agree with everything you said. The fact that Arndt was on board had me feeling so optimistic about these sequels, despite the choice of Abrams as director. Now...not so much.

I trust Abrams to treat Star Wars with respect and this seems like an excellent sign he's not going to let Lucas fuck the film up. I'm happy he's willing to throw a shitty script out, the man knows how to write a good movie.

No worries!

Reading comprehension ftw.

I still think it's nice to have the option.

My pictures transfer to my iPad without ever even thinking about it. It happens in the background over Wi-fi. I've never thought to myself, "gosh, I wish there were another few ugly ports on the sides of this tablet."

The A7 is superior, despite the name (different naming scheme - the A7 is Apple's own proprietary chip).

Of course it's valid. The highest quality apps from iOS aren't available on Android. However, Google's office suite and MS Office are both available on iOS. You get more choice and higher overall quality in apps; actually, I think it might be the most valid point of all.

I think this is a more telling statistic. Even though Android has by far the larger overall number of devices worldwide, iOS still has greater usage for web browsing. What does that tell you?

Really? That .06 of an inch is going to make that much of a difference? Will the 5 ounces exhaust your arm?

Android doesn't have any apps that are equivalent to Garage Band, iPhoto, iMovie, Numbers, Pages, and Keynote. Nor does it have some of the more graphically intensive games (i.e. Infinity Blade, not that I'm a fan). My point is that the difference is not just in quantity of apps but quality.

And where's the CD drive?? And the floppy disk port? Hmmm, come on Apple! Didn't you know that the purpose of an ultraportable device is to have as many unnecessary ports as possible?

iOS 7 has great multitasking, and in terms of natural light displays, there's nothing brighter than Apple's IPS screens. The only better alternative is e-Ink.

I think you're a little out of touch with the actual market. My mom is not clamouring for file access. Neither are the majority of consumers.

Hmm...Thicker and heavier, with a larger footprint, slower processor, no LTE, smaller storage sizes, fewer apps, no iLife or iWork-style productivity suites, inferior customer service, and inferior resale value.

"The N7 can do everything that an iPad can do"

When you take Apple's customer service and no-hassle warranty replacement into account — as well as the superior resale value — I'm not really convinced that you're saving money by buying Android. You might save some money at the time of purchase, but I actually think it evens out over time.

I don't see an anti-space theme in Gravity. I see a survival theme, and a rebirth theme. For me, Bullock's character arc was about moving past the horrible shit that's happened to you and realizing that you still want to survive, still want to be reborn, to evolve and grow and experience new things. It wasn't about
