I still have yet to buy my copy, and with the games I have lined up (SCII, Sins of a Solar Empire, Deathspank, etc.) that won't be any time soon. Or at least until Steam throws a deal at me for it.

@Narishma: Ah I remember the merc bldgs now, mostly for those dwarf guys with guns. But Cin is right, in Starcraft it's definitely different since you hire them between missions, and can deploy when you want.
