@Darth Meow 504: You forgot the part about making double sided floppies from single sided ones. Grab your friendly hole punched and notch the other side of the diskette and viola! it's now double sided! I just saved me some bucks!

"cures in 4 hours" I can't wait that long, I have stuff to do today. Do you have something that works in two?

@djscruffy: "Yes, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension (1984) was directed by W.D. Richter, who wrote the screenplay to Big Trouble in Little China (1986). If you watch the end of Buckaroo Banzai, the film mentions a potential sequel called "Buckaroo Banzai Against the World Crime League."

One of the few books I have never finished. Tried a few times but never got past a few chapters. (Don't know if it was just a slow starter or I couldn't relate to the main character) I was just thinking the other day maybe giving it another try, being 20yrs since my last attempt. Now this review shows up and I'm

@Eddard: I found the movie interesting. I never read the story so I had no comparison issues. It is a PKD story so be prepared to have questions at the end that weren't even thought about at the begining.

@monroe2: Don't be sorry about the rant. I think you did an excellent job explaining it.

You forgot his metaphysical tag line - "Wednesday is Sunday at Carvel."

@djscruffy: The series moved to a whole better level of funny when Kryten becomes a regular. The backwards planet and suicide squid episodes being the best of the bunch.

You missed the number one trope in 99% of all SciFi - humans.

@Casse: Find a copy of the manga, "2001 Nights" . It was put out in english by VIZ in the late 90's (7 parts). I lean to more scifi comics then superhero, but all superheros are really scifi (ssshhhh - don't tell anyone).

@Dodheim: Unless of course, they eat healthy, work out regularly, and still get diabetes. Then that family history of diabetes makes it look like it's more genetic...

I would also think that some company would come up with the idea of "pay as you go" internet access, much like a prepaid mobile. You prepay for 3 terabytes worth of content (up/down load total), and they give you a faster speed then the "public" net. Doesn't matter what the content is, music, movies, blogs, etc.

What no mention of "Ron Headrest" in Doonsbury?

Now there's a series I wouldn't mind Hollywood "relaunching".

@Evil Tortie's Mom: R.O.A.C.H.: You left out the best part - since there are no nursing homes - in China traditionally older parents move in with the daughter to be taken care of. No daughters - no one to tke care of them.

Yes but where can I get Kanada's jacket?

For those of you that haven't read the comic and watched this trailer, there is a HUGE difference between the two. Here is an analogy: Peter Jackson decides the Lord of the Rings should be a "coming of age" story, where Samwise, Frodo, and the gang journey to the beach for one last frolic before the go their

@Dr Emilio Lizardo: "Keep the home fires burning. And if i'm not back by dawn, call the President."

@Nudemanatee: I'm in the same boat as you. Don't remember it. I going with the theory it was such complete crap, my young mind finally drew the line and decided "no, you are definately NOT watching that."

@Hamslicer: I thought they did in 1997 with "RocketMan"?
