I bet at least one of the Orthodox families would boycott Germans cars but have absolutely no problem owning Fords and Lincolns. You know, the car company founded by a notorious antisemite who actually donated money to Hitler and republished the Protocols of Zion on a newspaper he owned. (disclaimer: i have many

Ok why is my fantasy in picture form?

Good god that is true.

BAT still have plenty of project cars listed on their site. Yes, they have super expensive stuff now (I think they really popped the cherry so to speak with the BME E34 M5 “Elekta” that was sold for $120K), but there are a lot more that are half finished, partially done, or even in pieces.

I went to Boston university and we have a pub there. It is a popular lunch spot (the sandwiches and beers are tasty) for senior students and faculty. Because the school is in an urban campus we also have at least one more privately owned pub inside a dorm.

The queen has many cars, the chief among them is the State Limo constructed by Bentley for the Queen 10-ish years ago, a one-off custom job (there are 2 of them). Aside from that she has a stable of older, vintage Rolls, and she (used to) drive herself around. There is a picture of her driving a Jaaag X-type wagon.

What British car? By the time he is old enough to drive, all “British” car brands are owned by someone else:
VW has Bentley, BMW has RR and Mini (and Rover/MG, which was unloaded to the Chinese, and Land Rover, which was unloaded to Ford), Ford owns Aston, Jaaag and Land Rover until they were unloaded to a

I mean for the model 3.

Seriously though: would it kill Tesla to put a small screen directly in front of the driver for the important instruments? BMW did it with the i3.

Oh no. Did BMW send you a C&D?

I agree with this, with one caveat: Uber and Lyft are better only in cities with bad cab services. I live in South Florida, and cabs are bad here, if they show up at all. They often smell terrible and are driven by drivers who are either completely ignorant of directions or eager to take you for a very long circuitous

NP. Interesting little thing.
Also interesting: guess who currently owns the trademark of Triumph? BMW.

I think it is simply over-building that killed many brick and mortar stores. There is way too much commercial buildings and not enough customers.
Also chains cannibalize other chains. Publix just bought out the remaining Safeway stores in my area.

I agree. With the C class now in the 40K+ range, and the CLA’s failure (a lot of people who has the CLA won’t buy another Merc again. I wonder why), MB needs a new car that would revitalize their lower end range.

The question is: is that a bad thing? A comfortable and capable coupe in the style of a grand tourer with the luxury of a Cadillac. That’s a GOOD thing. Haven’t Jalops been praying for a Lincoln coupe with mustang underpinnings?

Huh I didn’t know.

He might have lost some of what would a have been his estate in the divorce from his second wife who is also the mother of the child. He might have given her a coop or apartment in the divorce.

I was living in Hong Kong at the time when this came out (they call it Nissan Sunny) and the radio commercials would emphasize how “good looking” it is when almost everyone thinks it is the worst redesigns they had in ages

I always found it bizarre. I have had neighbors who are Jewish who are so very adamant that they won’t buy a German car, but they would gladly pick up a Lincoln, and I am always happy to tell them about how Henry ford financed the rise of the Nazis.

Of course it is a dog whistle. “Fairness” is a way for his followers to say “white supremacy “ as in “white people deserves all the jobs minorities deserves the scraps”. The fairness imagined by the GOP is the “fairness” that was reserved for the 50s.
