I agree it is very clean and the color combo is great, but 25 thousand is daydream territory even if everything is working and every part is reconditioned and rebuilt.

All the custom touches (which i love even if i don’t love the price) and somehow every single one of them has black leather. If you are going to be ridiculous and unique, there are tons of leather colors to choose from.

Cool story, thanks. I love oddball car stories like this. One of the most fascinating thing i ran into recently was the Porsche long-life concept.

I don’t know if it would bust your budget as a CPO car, but i vote for this one: BMW M3, Yas Marina Blue. Fast, seats 4 comfortably, cool(-ish).

A beater. Any beater.

If it doesn’t break, sure.

NP if i can accumulate a garage of spare parts. Family had one of these when i was growing up and its a nice ride. But like other posters said, this car will break expensively and probably not-too-infrequently.

I LOVE those. So few of them left but Bring a Trailer did feature at least one recently.

Seconded on the Volvo, but i would pick the 242 or any other 2-door version of it.

Looks like ( T_T )  on 4 wheels.

Unless you absolutely have to (in order words, if your car is a total unreliable shitbox), ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I wonder how they are going to justify not having any instruments (charge level, speed, etc.) not located within sightline of the driver as he focus on the road. Even with cars that have center mounted instruments, they are usually further out to make sure you can see it. From the dash pic, i think i would have to

I think the Citroen line would be a fun addition to the mostly boring US market.

Loved the z3, but the problem is there aren’t many decent examples out there. What weren’t worn out were modded within an inch of their lives.

Thanks for the review Andrew. I was actually at the dealer looking at one the other day and i really loved it. Unfortunately, my hubby who is 6 foot and change cant fit in it comfortably in the passenger’s seat, his knees banging against the dash and his head against the headliner in both soft and hard top versions.

20 years ago i almost got something like this.

How about a bump in gas tax and changing diesel regulations? The roads and bridges are in desperate state of repair everywhere in the country and lower oil prices + a bump in gas tax means there will be more money to fix public roads (which are public utilities) and provide jobs.

Thanks for the great review, David.
