Agreed. And Jamil’s character is the sort of blithe, name-dropping dilettante that Mr. Burneko so expertly parodied.

I do kind of empathize with Jamil here. Like her I’m working my way backwards through history and my “Willy Brandt’s handling of the Guillame scandal cemented his place as Germany’s worst ever Chancellor” tweet isn’t holding up as well as I’d hoped. 

Feel like Bush has gotten away with this whole “redemption,” campaign, because of Cheney. So much of what Bush did, was legit Cheney in the shadows. At the time, Cheney was so ridiculously boring to focus on, that it made it easy for him to do shit while the rest of the world focused on something else.

Those are the kind of alternative facts that will land you job in the Trump White House. Although, the half-assed apology was just contrite enough to hurt his chances.
