Could be that the overall tone wasn’t your thing; which is fair. Could also be that aspects of it either not living up to, or being so radically different from, expectations built up over the years that your gears are being totally ground by everything in it; which is equally fair.

Lifetime fan here as well, I thought it was a dumpster fire. I don’t think I’m overtly picky when it comes to Star Wars but I was wondering what the fuck I was watching 30 min in and by the halfway mark I was ready to go home.

I think I like the movie outside of the Finn/Rose adventure, it’s enough for me to ignore that issue, to me it’s not as bad as Starkiller Base which was so dumb.

It shouldn’t drive you nuts, and you shouldn’t be mad at yourself. As a lifetime SW fan myself, I can assure you: you aren’t the only one who thinks this way. The movie is not good.

I’m trying to put a cost figure on the “milking” scene, and why it was done in the first place.

I hope Kylo’s reveal to Rey about her parents is true. For fucking ONCE this series could use someone that isn’t tied to everyone else...

It baffles me that vanilla D1 had Heroic Strikes on day one. Then after years of community feedback, Bungie improved Strikes over time with exclusive loot, scoring and buffs. Three years later the sequel arrives with no Heroic Strikes; only to have them come back behind a DLC paywall- without any of the previous

At this point, they’re not mistakes. These things aren’t accidental. They need to be not only more accountable, but have more common sense.

I was fooled on the first one. Halo was just too good and was my favorite shooter of all time so they got me in the door and I quickly realized I’d been had. They won’t see another full price game bought by me ever again. Waiting until they fix everything and it goes to $20.

That’s probably the most disappointing aspect of all about this launch. We’ve been here before. After a couple of years of content and patching, Destiny 1 was a pretty good game. I expected they’d have carried that momentum forward to the second game.

Made mistakes? Isn’t this the exact same way they handled 1? The constant 180s and bullshit from Bungie continues to amaze me. Still disappointed with myself I gave them and Activision money for this.

I used to be in high school too.

This is the reason why gamers and the industry have a bad reputation. And sadly, he pretty much embodies the maturity of a lot of gamers out there.

I feel the same, I was interested in the game but I feel like I’m less interested in it after watching that.

Yeah, I am not a fan of rants like this. His game looks cool, but swearing like that doesn’t help make gaming culture more mainstream.

This game has been out for like two months. Getting locked out of content kind of seems like horeseshit.

I am sure there’s one out there if you Google hard enough.

Love the music and art style. The gameplay looks pretty simplistic and more like a smartphone game.

Tidus gets too much of a bad rap because of a single scene. His voice acting wasn’t as bad as people make it out. The infamous laughing scene was supposed to be bad laughing, thus a reason for it’s existance.

Journalism doesn’t really work like that. My job is to remain in contact with games so that people can be informed as to what’s happening in them. I try to call out trash practices when I see them. I’ve done that for Battlefront II, be that my review or a longer piece about how much I think loot boxes are bullshit.
