And move it to premium cable.

Third best part.

Starring William Shatner — $#*! My Lord Almighty Says

I’m more concerned about why I never see Anthony Jeselnik on TV anymore. He’s a sort of anti-bro in disguise (because he looks like a bro). I know he’s got a stand-up tour starting soon.

Goodfellas and Sopranos are apples and oranges, totally different dramatic concepts and both excellent. Even if you don’t fancy a long-form mob story, Sopranos is much richer than just that, and is top notch TV for sure. James Gandolfini’s performance is still the best creation of a serial drama character I’ve ever

I say yes to anything involving Jackée.

Since the early days of HD TV this has often been called “Soap opera effect,” because the smoothing makes filmed content look like it was shot on video, as soap operas traditionally are. (And lots of live TV, etc., but daytime soaps are the more direct comparison to primetime series & films.) The reason why you should

The A.V. Club still has features? My feed appears to be 90% political newswires and “Kinja deals” advertising.

Asked to name my top 5 Madonna songs, I’d say “Can I imagine someone else singing them?” She and her collaborators created a buttload of great pop songs and her star power was immense, but that voice was never on the level of the top 80s/90s singers.

Any day that Mean Girls comes on the teevee is Christmas to me. Finest cast of hot girls ever assembled, each one in her prime, AND all talented actors. Here’s how on fire that ensemble was: the “weird outcast” girl was Lizzy Caplan.

Typical of fictional entertainment, the Bing was indeed WAY better in every way than the real club. The only thing in the Sopranos version more enhanced than the (quality of) dancers was the food.

You want to see the internet’s top detectives in action, watch them identify a celebrity from nothing more than a blurry photo of a boob.

Several silent scenes for Claire Foy in this episode, all very well done. She’s excellent. Jeremy Northam makes a compelling Eden — a part just as much in the shadow of Lithgow’s grand Churchill as the PM himself was! Matt Smith is still dipping his head as always (no that’s not a euphemism); maybe it truly is an

“Why does Elizabeth always carry a purse around Buckingham Palace and what does she have inside of it?”

This is what used to be called “TV Club classic,” right? Speaking of which, we’ve been on Kinja for a few months now, and I still don’t find a menu of the various AV Club Features (like Inventory, History of Violence, etc.) — does it exist? Can’t it simply be added to the pulldown menu at top left?

Hah! I’m sure this reminds everyone of the classic BBC comedy ’Allo’Allo, right? No? Just me? I’ll see myself out. (skip to 13:58)

I understand. For totally different reasons, I strategically skip Go Fish. All the other weak MOTW plots in S1&2 have enough other strengths (dialogue, developing relationships, etc.) that I won’t avoid them, but GF is so, so lame (AND it ruins the momentum of the extraordinary run from Surprise to Becoming).

Finally, FINALLY an excuse to post this:

Yes, I get that. What would you say about FX and HBO cutting ties with Louis CK, to the extent that they’re wiping his critically lauded series and specials from the On-Demand catalog? OK, he admits he’s a pervert, but he’s not a Cosby-level criminal, right?

I thought it was Jim Gaffigan in disguise. Or Owen Teale (Alliser Thorne on GOT). Both in their 50s.
