Very surprised by the high grade; this episode was the opposite of last week's tight, funny script. This was lots and lots of talking with very little happening, and several attempts at humor landed with a dull thud. And the overuse of "fuck" tonight is a good example of how the language freedom on HBO is a

I see what you did there.

Willem Dafoe is apparently playing W.B. Yeats.

I think they missed one opportunity with the focus group of preteen girls: as the guy goes around and calls each by name (as always), they could have used ridiculous trendy Gen-Z names, the kind that make the rest of us roll our eyes.

I agree, tonight was *very* well written — brisk and funny without any wheel-spinning or weak spots, and even surprising. Every call-back was great, especially the beleaguered lawyer and the focus group complete with Gavin's rage beyond the one-way glass. And seeing Dinesh transformed into a type-A douchebag was

Pipey can toot himself, I gotta say that's pretty impressive at least.

Of course he considered Clippy to be male, that whole industry is such a sausage fest.

Wow, I didn't even remember Erin Esurance, and hadn't seen all the, uh, stuff that people made with her. Hmmm… I'll be right back.

I'm sure DeviantArt features lots of… interesting variations on Wendy.

TBS on Apr 29th? That's the first I've seen this info; every TV commercial in recent weeks that announces the event said "check online for date & time", which is pretty ridiculous. Did they really not know the details?

I was gonna go with Paula Ryan, but that's fine too. Yeah he has a sort of cuteness that works better as a woman, or something.

I still think Rosie O'Donnell offering to play Bannon on SNL could have been awesome. The resemblance is uncanny, and what a perfect way to turn the tables on that stupid feud.

We lost so many big celebrities last year, so I especially love that in 2017 we can still have a news article that involves Mr. T and Charo.

Normally we would have Game of Thrones too, but it's delayed this year.

"I got lots of girlfriends. Sally's just my bottom bitch. Do you know what I am saying?"

Shiny Happy People wouldn't piss off a lot of R.E.M. fans if it hadn't gotten so much airplay. But I guess that's how it goes with tons of hits, and of course that was their first #1 album, which nobody like their cult bands to reach.

Middleditch, Woods and Starr were on Chris Hardwick's new show ("Talking") this week, and they were great. The fun they have together, and that whole cast of peculiar characters, reminds me that Silicon Valley is the ultimate nerd's show — and I am definitely using nerd in a positive way.

You don't have to be goth or otherwise full of angst to appreciate Disintegration. (Though for some, I guess it helps.) It's a great goddamned album. Several tracks from Wish are similarly awesome too.

They really should move it down fifteen blocks so they can call it the Madison Square Olive Garden.
