The wackier stuff definitely got its share of eye-rolls from the cast, who later gossiped about the show's costume designer and her infamous quirks. But I maintain that Buffy in S1&2 and Willow in S2&3 at least (and Cordelia anytime, anywhere) looked mostly fantastic.

Ah, then perhaps you, like me, felt your stomach fall right along with Xander in "Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered," when he realized that Buffy's come-ons were just a love spell gone wrong. I don't know if I would have had his strength to resist her nearly-naked seduction after that.

I think if Buffy had been made earlier in the 90s, the rock bands at the Bronze might have been much worse. Plus I think some of the artists like Cibo Matto and K's Choice were well suited to the show's mood.

Oof, late '80s clothes were so terrible, but I confess I miss the crazy big hair. At least it was fun and more varied than the straight styles. The 70s/80s girl rock stars, now that's where it's at.

I thought that in the first two seasons especially, the whole cast looked really great, clothes and all. And season 3 had Cordelia in her fierce post-breakup look, and Faith in anything, so, yeah that was pretty nice.

Giles' life got really boring after the high school years as well…
