Nothing prepared me for Maisie's "ice bucket challenge" video a couple years back, I'll say that much.

Senior Editor O'Neal, clearly saving the best newswires for himself. Bravo.
I miss Grooveshark in all its disorganized glory, if only because you could find stuff on there that no other free services offered. I guess that was the bonus that comes with being totally illegal.
Understood. Still, everything on Spotify is free, so that's a huge factor in my book.
For a guy whose best quality is his body (by a long shot), it sucks to be dropped by the one company whose products serve to highlight his junk.
It's ridiculous. Those people have somehow not grasped the awesomeness of a little chick who can crush you with her super-strong thighs. Seriously, I'm not being flippant.
Not to be sexist, but Instagram (and the others) is for girls, right?
Is the bad Spotify interface the mobile version (like the thousand other web services that suck as a phone app)? I use Spotify on PCs at home and at work, and it's great, no trouble with shuffle or any other functions. Plus I can block (mute) the ads.
Oh jeez, that's Bo Derek… At a glance I thought it was Lindsay Crouse.
Magic shops are nothing but trouble.
"Usain Bolt is the world’s fastest man. You, on the other hand, are just ears and a thumb as far as this quiz is concerned."

I've always liked Jim Gaffigan. (How can one not?) On Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars, he talked about having the rare honor of opening for Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia. He may be the only comedian ever to have uttered the line, "Thanks, you guys have been great… Stick around for the pope!"
I miss the golden years of Broadway, when musicals depicted sweetly pleasant old-fashioned figures such as misogynistic phoneticists who can't sing, homicidal cannibal barbers, and Ethel Merman.
Bridesmaids was very funny, but the curious thing I realized in retrospect is that Kristen Wiig's character's life barely changes by the end. She meets the wacko cop, sure, but her career is still in the shitter, her friendships are only partly mended, and the movie just ends with a big bright dancing musical number…
No! No more resurrections of great TV shows — they only end up in disappointment. Futurama and Arrested Development came back and were awfully uneven compared with the original runs, and Family Guy (I know, I know, but it really was solid and funny in the 3rd season right up to its cancellation) quickly overstayed…
That hyperbole has also been characteristic of many Buffy fans, nevertheless Christophe Beck did very fine work creating themes and scoring BTVS, as Djawadi has done for GOT. Mediocre they are not.
Woohoo! It's crazy that Ramin Djawadi is not up for the Emmy this year for his extraordinary work on the Season 6 finale. (edit: And I've read that he may not be eligible next year either, despite the episode airing past the cutoff for 2016 Emmys… I don't know the details for sure.) Seldom does television music…
Want simple, legible text, like most comic strips have used for 100 years? Nah, too mainstream.
Agreed. She is delightful! One of my favorite envelope-pushing bits from the show:
