Billy Joel has played all of his songs too many times. That said, he wrote songs in several very different styles over the years, so at least that variety means it's easy to still enjoy some and despise others.

"The world is not in desperate need of yet another terrorism-themed thriller." Understatement of the fucking decade-and-a-half. I will never watch another show about terrorism, or a movie about terrorism, and I don't care how good some of them have been. Anyone else think that the deluge of scripted drama (and

Yeah… The SVU and CI references go over my head, I'm afraid. I never watched either — anytime I caught a few minutes of one, it just didn't appeal. Mothership (thru season 8 or so) for me, baby!

I liked Robinette too, except for the mumbling. L&O got very lucky with replacing cast members, considering how often they had to do it; every actor for the first 8 years brought something strong to the show, including Dzundza and Bratt. (And in season 9+, even Angie Harmon had some winning scenes. She's actually a

Hudson University, boy, everything was happening there! Always wanted to visit and check out that hooker ring run by Cara Buono.

Nah, I think you guys have this all wrong… A gym for nerds is a *great* idea if it works — and by that I mean that it keeps the true jocks away. You know, the real dumb-ass, a-hole dudes who still think that nerdy interests are to be sneered at, like we're still in high school for the rest of our life.

Ah yes! I refer to this piece of shit as "the theme song at Kohl's".

I think that David Chase wasn't certain, back at the show's conception, about what the tone would be; a more comedic series was very possible at that time. This helps explain the early casting of Steven Van Zandt.

I pledge to visit Star Wars Land and love it — so long as the Cantina plays only that one #$%^&#$ song on repeat. (Look out, It's A Small World!)

Based on that image of Louie, is Sivero also planning to sue the people who perpetuate this? ಠ_ಠ

Maisie Williams FTW

Better call Saul!

Declan MacManus?

Yeah… that was the joke.

I think I was well into my twenties before realizing that the elliptical "Well I'll be!(…)", as spoken frequently by characters in Peanuts, is supposed to suggest that the word "damned" follows. Somehow, all my youth (and then some), I thought it was just a weird old-timey expression, rather than Schulz

Strange to see an AV Club article about Alex Rocco, and its first 50 comments, without a mention of his appearance on Party Down. (I know he's been in lots and lots of things, right up to the end… Personally I've seen very few of them, so I remember gasping in delight when he showed up in that episode.)

I find James Bama's depictions of cowboys and mountain men arousing

I've had great Sicilian pizza too, which is thick, but I maintain that people who diss the NY/NJ thin Neapolitan-style pizza as greasy and awful have simply not had a good one. If you're in NYC and you pick a pizzeria at random, it may well be terrible.

The best NY/NJ pizza is all about getting the thin crust just right, with the right amount of crispiness. Plenty of pizzerias there make terrible pies, leaving the tourists unimpressed — but at a really good place, you take that perfect slice, bend it in your hand, and mmmm mmmmmm delicious.
