@winstonsicle: There was an early HD gaming channel (was Dish, sadly dropped,) that would play blocks of playthroughs - figured it was really silly, then 3 hours later, decided it was strangely entertaining! I miss that channel.

@skywalker24: Sry for delay... but yep, it was a poor transfer. Aliens is one of my faves and I'm kind of an A/V snob. I'd swear they've rerecorded some of the soundtracks (no idea if that's fact), and I know they even brought back in a lot of the original cast for some ADR (voiceover) work.

@collex: You really should at least see the Alien BD at some point - it's almost like a different movie. I never was a huge fan of the first one, but it's... just wow. If there was an instruction book type example of how to remaster/etc a classic to BD levels of audio/video - this should be it.

Seems like another Trek series would be a no brainer - as long as it's not a prequel or alternate time line/universe. Something parallel to TNG/Voyager period would be a hit.
