I run into the Sprouse twins from time to time here at NYU.  They seem to be okay.

Don't move to England.  Murder and death are comedy staples there.

The most surprising thing about this thread is that HipsterDBag isn't the one who started it.

If it helps, it's actually almost all the way through its fifth season.

Not quite.  It's actually from T. S. Eliot's The Waste Land.

Orientalized stereotypes != more diversity

I don't understand @avclub-96f15daceb6669363fbf7f762ed57703:disqus 's linguistic objection.  There are kinds of rape other than by physical force, right?  Rape with roofies, rape by deception, statutory rape, rape by blackmail …

I think it's more complex than that.  There is no upside to criticizing Perry.  To readers who agree with them, they're shooting fish in a barrel.  To readers who disagree, they risk coming off as ill-informed or racist.

Everybody needs magic.  That's why they call it magic.

Don't watch the "extended" or "improved" version or whatever it's called.  Stick with the no-budget special effects and short running time which makes it easier to get to the last 15 minutes.

I think it's a slam at Argento, and I think it's completely unwarranted.

Well, the review did say that he looks to Polanski and Argento for inspiration …

I only know that song because some idiot on TV Tropes cited it as an example of a parody that was famous while the original was forgotten.  Several Americans then set that idiot straight.

Okay, that wasn't how I interpreted your use of "bad sexuality."

That episode has been back in syndication for so long I'm not convinced it was ever actually pulled.

I love a good female-centric thriller as much as the next guy (more, probably), but there was just too much disbelief to suspend (and what a waste of Andre Braugher!).  The action sequences were kind of crap too.

Taking down this Family Guy episode won't bring back your damn honey!

I liked the film a lot, but I've always considered the highway driving to be its absolute highlight.  It's also a brilliant way of signaling to the audience, "This is what you're in for, so if you don't like it, check out now."

Alternatively, she chooses jeans.

I understand that it can be hard to keep up with plots when you're writing on a deadline, but the statement that Kalinda somehow forced a mistrial, which somehow resulted in Rainey being freed, and this is an example of how the show demonstrates that she knows how to work within the system, is a really bizarre
