Dammit Chandler! Now I'm hungry!
The first season held up remarkably well during a recent re-watch, certainly better than remembered. The over-the-top nature of the material and some of the performances really didn't take root until later. They did a really good job, too, of showing the forks in the road for both Norma and Norman; their tragic…

The thing is the false premise of having to choose a side without gathering information. The press was guilty of pandering to that mentality to an extant but most of it comes from the more extremist factions of both parties. And again, it is not based on a philosophy or core beliefs, and it certainly has nothing to do…
Part of the problem is people expect to be informed but are not very anxious to gather information for themselves. As a "consumer" of news, you have to find it and make sense of it; if you're not going to put in the effort, you may as well not bother.

You get a feel for things but it's more like tracking a butterfly than watching a series of events happening in a logical order. That it pushes you away while pulling you in deeper is nothing short of expert storytelling… and,…
Susan Sarandon was on All In tonight. She was stoned, not saying outright but Worth it! and Bernie would have…!
The show is walking a narrative tightrope that seems like it could slip at any moment but is actually very sure-footed; it's making us have to watch and think about it, even after it is over. I know at some point - probably sooner rather than later - I'm going to have to go back and watch the show from the beginning.…

It was an "erosion of trust." Come on, that sounds scientific!
after spending the weekend talking to friends who work in dc i can safely (well, 'accurately'…) post the following things:
1-the russian dossier on trump is real. 100% real. he's being blackmailed by the russian government, not just for being peed on by russian hookers, but for much more nefarious things.
2-the trump…
