In a sense…
In a sense…
Once, a friend of mine who worked at Pier One showed up at a gathering with a signed credit slip from a famous baseball player (a borderline Hall of Famer) who'd been in the store that day. I looked at it and said, "Is it all right that you have this?" He responded, "Oh, absolutely not. I just wanted to show you guys."
Hellhammer was going to go in and re-record the bass parts himself, but the label released the album before he had a chance.
Re: the Slayer thing – Tom Araya is, somewhat surprisingly, an extremely devout Catholic with very conservative social views. I certainly wouldn't say he's a Nazi, though, and I know other members of his band have denounced what he said.
It was taped months ago.
I'm going to be pretty disappointed when Ingobernable is not about Naito and his buddies Rush, Sombra, Mascara, EVIL, SANADA, BUSHI, and Kamaitachi.
(Or Emperor.)
Doesn't matter. I'm going to wait until the whole series streams, sign up for one month, binge the show, and then cancel. If I'm really feeling cheap, I'll just wait until after Star Trek airs and binge them both in the same month, but ain't no way I'm keeping another streaming service.
According to the old lady, that wasn't the only slamming that was going on that night.
Guess who co-wrote "Forever." Go look it up… I'll wait.
Wrong, my friend – NJPW on AXS! KUSHIDA vs. Hiromu Takahashi! Cody Rhodes vs. Juice Robinson! The Young Bucks vs. Roppongi Vice! All from the Tokyo Dome on January 4!
His likability as Cary is the only thing that got me to reconsider Logan.
Or stay away from him.
Someone should check on Roger Waters.
He looked rough, too – really gaunt and unhealthy. However, Asia went ahead and announced that tour, so he must have felt well enough at some point in the fairly recent past that he thought he could do it. When they announced Sherwood was taking his place, though, I strongly suspected the end was near.
I feel like UK is a dividing line between "prog fan" and "prog nerd." The first album is essential, but since Bruford and Holdsworth are gone afterward and the subsequent albums are generally viewed as inferior, it can kind of be seen as a one-off. Also, the UK catalog was never the subject of any sort of reissue…
Jakko was the one who broke this news, because many of the Crimson guys – whether they're in the current lineup or not – are very close. Fripp posted yesterday about hanging out with Wetton in December and included some pictures, and Wetton was unrecognizable. It sounds like the past several years were a real struggle…
It's Reigns vs. Taker at Mania. They'll go with the same half-measures they always go with and stop short of actually turning Reigns heel.
I believe all this season's episodes of Gotham are subtitled "Mad City," so no.
Every time Orton gets hurt and and then comes back, it seems like everyone forgets how fucking boring he is.
