Yeah, "Phantom Planet" was stomach-churning, it was as if someone did the "mega-happy ending" from Wayne's World and stretched it out for 90 minutes. "The Ultimate Enemy" was great (and surprisingly dark) though, and remains my favorite Nickelodeon "movie."

I heard MTV was going to do a show about a teenage Helga and have more mature jokes, but the concept was too similar to Daria.

I was looking at a picture from my 8-year old tee ball team and one of the kids was wearing a Rugrats shirt with Tommy Pickle's head on it. That probably wouldn't happen in this day and age.

My favorite part was Tentacruel at 0:34

Drawn Together wandered into the gutter far too often, but they did have some gems:
"One, two, three, four
We are good at making up cheers….
Wait I got one!
No, that's stupid…"

The Fastest-Finger Question they gave Norm was also insulting:
Put the following letters in order to spell a popular man's name.
A. N
B. O
C. R
D. M

The way he moved onstage there did remind me of Louie a bit.

Animation is hardly ever live, it's a serious strain on the animators' wrists.

I think the hidden premise of this show is what kind of adult Morty will grow up into. Someone like Rick? Someone like Jerry? Or maybe someone better than both those guys.

Possibly a subtle reference to the movie Cube.

I was doing the math in my head and Rick left Beth when she was about Morty's age (Beth had Summer when she was 17, Summer's 17. 34-20=14). Maybe those two went on adventures.

And Gazorpazorpfield: A Tale of Two Garzorpazorps. Gazorpazorpfield may have been voiced by Bill Murray but wha-what do I look like? Like I know everything about everything?

Fantastic episode, sort of like an even darker version of "Godfellas." I thought the big twist at the end was that R&M's current universe was itself in a giant battery but that may have been too much. Just really bleak and great stuff throughout.

I'd recommend the Belt Buckle episode if Duffman wants a test-run.

To this day I maintain that at least 40% of Friends success was due to their theme song; the show wouldn't have been nearly as popular with their original theme, "Shiny Happy People."

Mine is Homer's scoffing opinion about seatbelts.

Can't wait for Das Bus, that's one of my favorite post-Golden age episodes.

I really like that they choose to retire Hutz/McClure than to simply kill them off. I like to think those two still live in Springfield, they're just not involved with the Simpson Family (or in Troy's case, on television) anymore.

"I don't know. There's a lot of buzz around Lenny."
[Cut to Lenny concentrating intensely]

"Lenny? But he's a war hero."
