Never watched the Powerpuff Girls but I remember not caring about the Xiaolin Showdown reboot upon learning all the VAs changed due to production moving or something (that, and all the Shen Gong Wu changed names too.)

But part of that is because comics can't end, yes? They're like soap operas. Victor Newman won't ever become a full fledged good person until they retire the role.

Oh yeah. Reaction I saw was that Nolan having a Bruce who had any desire to retire showed a fundamental misunderstanding of the character.

My first thought when reading the article was, "But people HATED that Nolan's Bruce Wayne retired because 'Batman doesn't retire."' Which I strongly disagree with, because Nolan told a complete story with his own version of Batman.

Some coolly rendered shots (the aerial drop, Ezra's eyes lit up, Kanan's helmet) aside, the review did a god job capturing the inessentialness(?) of this episode. This season (and maybe the whole show) will be a good one to rewatch because 4-6 episodes will be fantastic and the other 15-18 won't need to be seen again.

"See ya 'round, kid"

"Sacrifice," "League of Assassins" and "The Promise" are the top Arrow episodes, with maybe "Three Ghosts" having the best moment.

It would have been pretty cool if "Bruce" rang, Barry picked up and we got a Conroy cameo by phone.

Which was even funnier considering Wells told Joe he'd bring his son back, and then 10 minutes later, Iris is pushing Barry up against a wall.

Neither Cisco nor Barry noticed. At least a quick "wait, what?" head throw to the screen would have sufficed.

Stoop Kid and his stoop.

The part I'd disagree with is the "legend" part. Cities fabricate that word all the time in promotional material. (IE there was some Super Bowl event this week that touted *Trent Dilfer* as a 49ers legend, probably because he has ties to the 49ers front office.)

Your Galavant experience (a show I'm skeptical of) sounds like what I found with Angie Tribeca.

Actually the pilot turned me off the show for a while. The Street stuff was too hard to stomach and I thought the whole show would be like that. Quickly got back on board though.

What a season. Still can't believe we got one that good this far in its run.

I didn't see Jeopardy (would love to know the tiebreaker details) but the crazy Tribal from Survivor was final 5 or 6.

No, it just increases playback speed. It's perfect for second tier (and below) shows, especially network dramas, that are more about plot than dynamic acting. For example, I watched a dozen Walking Deads in a day because I was watching at between 3x and 4x speed (while still hearing dialogue)

Same here, and here's where I recommend using a speed modifier plugin. It's an absolute life saver.

I'm 10 episodes in and can't tip you either way, and I suppose that's its own kind of answer. It's…fine? I like Elena and Bonnie but Damon is incredibly annoying at this point.

The AV Club seems like the place to share that I just watched the Gilmore Girls pilot and enjoyed it way more than I figured (also enjoyed the TWD pilot)
Edit: Just watched the Gossip Girl pilot too, left with 2 thoughts:
1. Why was I emotionally affected by Gossip Girl?
2. How did they afford all those songs???
