It's not depressing. It has some negative elements, but at its core, it's a very "no one knows why we're here or why things happen, and we're all just trying to figure it out" and "finding happiness in the little things" kind of vibe.

You're not the only one. It's pretty fun. Even better is Workforce.
That's what made "Worst Case Scenario" such a fun episode, complete with Snarky Tuvok.
Yeah, Voyager's ability to repair and infinite supplies were implausible, I often just found TNG really boring. Some REALLY good stuff (Measure of a Man is just great) I generally liked Voyager's characters (Neelix aside) and the better production values and faster pace made the mediocre ones more tolerable.
I firmly believe it's better than TNG. People crush it for the frequent reset button, but it's not like TNG had big stakes either. I mean, the 1st, 2nd and 7th seasons are rather putrid.
The closing scene of the premiere is this generation's "get busy living or get busy dying"
Upvoted because Band Geeks is my #2, but Pizza Delivery is #1 for me. Hard to compare since Band Geeks is an ensemble and Pizza Delivery is a buddy comedy, but Spongebob's fully legitimate enthusiasm for the rock actually chokes me up, and it has the best Squidward moment ever (though stepping in for Santa has an…
The only seasons I've seen in full are the last couple (haven't done a full watch yet), and I'd say the show's last great moment was the Season 8 episode "Nobody's Fault," with Jeffrey Wright killing it as the doctor investigating House and his team for a case gone seriously gone wrong. It's not perfect, but it was a…
Seeing those episodes with the auditions in syndication is what drew me into the latter seasons. The part where he tricks Cuddy to keep an extra person is Peak House.
Fun fact: Mark was on a show called Extreme Dodgeball.
Yeah, he seemed like a guy with an alcohol problem exacerbated by the show, then he had a family and matured and probably figured out the show environment was not conducive to he and his family. (Huh he's only 32, I thought he was like 38)
Every time I thought of another point, the post hit on it (though I'd argue Big Brother has changed a lot since the early days). You killed it!
The other really egregious example of abuse was Frank absolutely berating Sam on Battle of the Seasons. One of the most disgusting things I've seen in my life.
I wish the show…
Because the ongoing storylines were compelling, the production had a nice balance of house shenanigans/actual competition and TJ Lavin is a good host. If it were new people every season, it wouldn't work. But there are dynamics that legitimately shift from season to season. ie Zach and Jonna dated, next season, Zach…
CFAMick already mentioned Jamie and Jacinda, and I believe Mallory from Paris became a reasonably successful model. Apparently two RWers from before my time also became a congressman and a comic/TV writer. Oh and Cameran from San Diego is a real estate broker with a role on a Bravo show.
I didn't realize this was the end of the coverage (or rather that the other seasons were covered in real time) so I won't get to watching the show before they end, but am definitely looking forward to checking them out once I get around to it. Though avoiding spoilers, these seemed like some of the better reviews on…
Wait, they're wearing actual NFL jerseys this season?
This is a good place to remind people of a 90s Nick ad that is the absolute scariest thing in the history of civilization: http://www.retrojunk.com/co…
Thank you Flash, for putting Peyton List back on TV.
I'll miss it, but I'm definitely glad it's ending. It's clearly on its last legs, seeing as a lot more of the gags now rely on extending the bit past its expiration date. It's going out at the right time.
Wait, you say it looked like the set of Supermarket Sweep and that's the part you didn't like?
