Nick and Jess aren't the problem though. They have a plot line. No one else does and Coach's broadness feels like a character from a multi cam show.

Also he didn't hesitate to want to take (character name redacted) out. I'm guessing very little Ollie in the Suicide Squad ep.

OK so I only watched one episode of AoS. My internet was out, so I tried some OnDemand stuff and ended up on the "Skye infiltrates Bad Guy crew" episode with the matter absorber thingamajig and Skye was the *only* character I was remotely interested in. Ming-Na Wen's character was like "I'm gruff but READY FOR

He does…

There's a difference between in media res and flash forwards though. Just finished the show, and yes they hit you over the head with, OH MY GOD ELLEN'S SHOOTING PATTY, but those clips don't happen until the season finale.

My #1 bad trope is the "new character hoodwinks all the supporting characters and frustrates the protagonist." Example: Apartment 23, when June discovers her co-workers con but every time she tries to reveal it, it backfires on her. I get legit angry at those plots.
And totally agree with Sonia. I gave up on House of

The second season gets some crap but there's only one episode in it I don't love (Runaways)

Yeah that too. Now I love it because you really get the sense of how much the rebellion is losing and that they're on the run. Only other thing that hits me like that is Season 2 of Young Justice. There's a lot of emotion that can be conveyed through tv/film but an overarching sense of fatigue is rare.

As a kid, I HATED ESB because it was so eerie. And Han loses. Now though? Probably tied for my favorite movie.

Skipped the spoilery part of the review because I'm going to catch the episodes I missed over the years before getting to these but thanks for reviewing them. It had been years since I cared about Saturday morning cartoons until I picked Clone Wars back up midway through its run as well as Young Justice.
I miss both

It has everything and the movie. Just be aware that the Netflix order is in airing order, not chronological order, because the show skipped around for parts of the first 3 seasons.

The series takes a jump in quality when they stop trying to hammer you over the head with not homages, but straight up using the same dialogue from the films. Once it becomes its own show (almost) entirely it gets super good.

I'm watching the movie right now and it's sooo much better now that's it backed by the whole series. It's 20-30 minutes too long, but it fits in with the rest of the series.
EDIT: Ziro doesn't even appear until the last 20 minutes. Neither does Padme. So it's pretty easy as to where it could've been cut.

Ah I remember having this argument with you back in the Young Justice or JLU reviews LoveWaffle.
Not sure how you could say Ahsoka stayed just as annoying after watching the youngling arc, let alone the fugitive arc. She got reprimanded multiple times, including the events of the last arc.

Gotcha. Rewatched it after you responded. I think I missed it because of how moronic hiding the test in the plant was. Thanks.

And I'd love for someone to correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Lily smoking after thinking and even maybe knowing that she's pregnant???

I've loved this show from the beginning, it's one of the first shows I've watched from the start and as I zip through great sitcoms on Netflix for the first time, very little makes me laugh like New Girl season 2, but I'm not really sure what to make of it at this point.
It's still funny and I love the characters but

I know this is far-fetched but what if it's the other way around? What if it's The Mother who's lost in the past, imagining how Ted would tell all his stories to his children?

I was never that big a fan of Chris but I liked Ann more than most people. Ann grounded Leslie in a unique way that made her less grating at times.

My biggest pet peeve in sitcoms is plots that are so entirely avoidable that they're uncomfortable and the April/Donna plot fell into that category. A super thin idea that didn't match up with April's character imo.
