Not a lot so far has blown me away.
When I comes to new artists I really enjoyed Wavves, as stated before, which I know is an unpopular pick but eh. I also enjoyed Oh See Thee's Help.

I'm stupid, I don't see the point you are making.

uh, I don't think anybody would claim that art does not require compromises. Its just when your message is anti-authority and anti-capitalists, and you're working with and for the authorities and capitalists… Sonic Youth signing to a major label selling out? Not really. Against Me? Yes, they wouldn't shut up about not

Isn't the best way to combat evil not to participate in it? It seems like he falls short in that regard.

Um…I mean it depends on how comfortable you are with our consumer culture.

Raindog + Situationalism - nuance = a post that's about half way there.

Honey, if you don't think the conversation is substantive then make it substantive, otherwise you are just trying to shut down discussion, which is the anti-intellectual bullshit you are pushing.

lol, I was only being sarcastic in the first paragraph. I hope that helps.

Yeah, discussing and caring about things is stupid, just like Drehadra says, only big babies have things worth discussing. Grown ups know the value of anti-intellectualism and keeping their mouths shut, that's maturity in a nutshell. Oh, and going on pop culture message boards and telling people how stupid they are

Van Falk: As pretty much the only defender of Wavves around here I end up feeling you're talking about me, but then again I'm just self centered in that way. To answer your characterization, No, I don't hate DMB; to me they fall into the vast category and mediocre mainstream music. Also I don't shop at American

Yeah, I read that.

woops, sorry about the spelling mistakes, hit post while I was spell checking.

lol, I throw out a phrase like dated and it gets some of you riled up enough to attack my character instead of my ideas. I guess my own ad hominem comment about aging badly has a lot of truth to it if you can't deal with a punk kid on the interent in a cool headed way. As for these cookie cutter bands I'm supposed to

The music? I don't like Vedder's (or whatever his name is) singing. In general I think they sound really dated. They might have been fresh and relevant at the time, but that sound hasn't aged well. The strongest advocates of the band I've found also fall into the not aging well category. Gen X is becoming a bit like

As a stated (and annoying) defender of Wavves, and lover of all the bands mentioned so far, including the Swell Maps, I have to say that I did not like this album much. It kept reminding me of Lync's These are not Fall Colors, and Post Nothing did not stand up well with the comparison.

Yeah, not getting this.
I made it halfway through "the pitt" that I jacked off torrent, and I decided that I was done with Fallout. The game worked best as exploration, and all these add-ons just give you narrow confined missions. I'll be looking forward to the next thing Bethesda puts out, but until then…

I'm basing what I say off of his solo work, and I stand by my saying that Sleepers is stellar, and that's just not Rabin saying it.

Stellar is about the right word for Sleepers. This sounds more then worth picking up, and I can't wait for dirty pretty things.

It might work, but we'd end up with too many singers. Somebody would have to swallow their ego, and that's not gunna be me. Los Campesinos! could join, they see songs in shapes and color, nuclear physics and pottery ovens.

Huh?
I thought everybody heard colors and texture and tastes in music.
