Yeah that saved this episode to me.  Not that it was bad but it pushed it over 'normal modern family drivel' where Claire says Phil's always calm and she over reacts.  I expected this episode to be examples of that the whole way through.  Seeing Phil slowly get more and more serious without breakfast was amazing.

I'm concerned by the cutaway when Carl shot Lori's corpse.  If I see a shambling disemboweled Lori in the season finale I might be done with this show.
