Peggy is what I call an "emerald employee".  This means somebody from the middle (or lower-middle when that was possible) class that gets into a high-class world (advertising) and gets to play with the big boys.  Those people become the biggest conservative/reactionaries ever, easily surpassing their capitalist/class

This week´s episode (about Sam, Kiera´s son) was an A episode.  Such a good idea, so well directed.

A middle-aged guy that is not exactly fit doing everything in his power to maintain a relationship with a Maslany clone? Outrageous.

At least you don´t have ADD.

What is this "Arrested Development" thing that I heard so much about? Is it a reality show?

The more you know…

OK, so "countries in development" or however you want to call it (I am an Argie, and I am writing from Buenos Aires; we are going up, but we have a long way to go still).

Are you suggesting that they had a choice in the matter?

The Flirting show would be an unmitigated success.  Pick-up Bars are the definition of "bait-and-switch".

That show sounds amazing! I would move the entire losing plant to a Third World country, with the workers and their family included (well, I don´t know who the losers would be in that case, if the ones staying, or the ones going to work in a plant in Argentina or Brazil).

Do you mean communal like the 6th biggest company in Spain? (The mighty Mondragon Cooperative Conglomerate). So yes, they had "some" success.

Cool jobs are generally reserved for the "artist" in well connected families.  One son will go to become a CEO or some other high-performance thing, another will decide to be "a writer".  In family reunions, they whisper "Yeah, he always was the odd one, but you see, thing turned more or less well for him".

Only pickup line I know: "Hey girl, do you want to do meiosis?"

Is not that basically "Ellen"? (with the degrading part being the insane clapping in the midst of an insane audience).

We had this situation in Argentina back in 2001 (not now).  We reached a point where we had a game show whose first prize was…. a job.  When you get to that point, please take your stuff and family and move to another country until sanity returns.

Hi, I am writing from the future.  The war against the machines opened when the InterPlus Net gained consciousness and proceeded to watch all our audiovisual production.  Sadly, the randomizer chose first the Fox chain, and the Main Brain concluded that there was no time to loose, thus discarding all other networks

I doubt that Pol Pot even knew who Che was.  Or maybe he knew, but surely he did not care about it.  If you people are bored with today´s movies, take some hours and read about Pol Pot.  That is crazy stuff, and all of it was scarily real.

And the prize goes to Close-watcher.  Yes, is Market Socialism, an economic system based on worker-managed companies competing in a free market.  And no, they don´t need to take turns at management, they can choose democratically their managers, do a rotation, or decide by assembly.  There can be differences in wages

If workers were given the reigns of a business, the first people left go would be the capitalist owners of said business.  Then, with proper training, the business would thrive.  It has happened many times, and it will happen again.  The only thing left for capitalists is their control of the flows of money, and this

George Lucas is the Facebook model in any case (or Steve Jobs, maybe): shiny stuff without content.  It was like this in Stars Wars (with a miracle happening in the second movie, with input from people that was not him).  The rest (including the first one) had deleterious effects in the film industry and the movies
