I think that Lena reads each and every one of the comments here.  And I think that she rewrites episodes based on that criticism.  So Lena, you know what I think about the show.  You have the spotlight, do something useful with it or move on.

Good.  When you finally watch it with those expectations, the punch will be greater.  Believe me, took me years to watch Buffy/Angel.  After that experience, I just plundered Doctor Who.  The past year is a highlight of my TV consumption career. 

Marketing and connections are very powerful.  People are supposed to like "Girls" just because it is on HBO, and looks like an indie film.  As with most indie films, it is really crap.  Blame Sundance.
