Jon FUCKING Benjamin! I know that he's not a name and I have nothing
against Cooper (certainly way better than Sandler or Carey) but Benjamin
would be great. However if you think of the Bradley Cooper from Wedding
Crashers and Hangover it's actually not bad casting.

That's what I'm trying to say

I mean I wish I was in my 20s in the 80s, at least for a little while to try it out. I just don't think that specifically '83 is a year that really shined. Like '92 or '93 or '69 might be years someone would pick but specifically '83 doesn't seem too exciting.

Nothing against the AV Club here because you have all done an incredible job of covering 1983 but this year really seems to have sucked. I can't imagine anyone saying "many I wish I was alive in 1983" or "I wish I was in my 20s in 1983 so I could have truly appreciated it". In fact even more kudos are due the AV Club

It's funny because before this season started I read an interview with Alexander Skarsgard and there was a rather lengthy (!) discussion of how is dad used to walk around their house naked all the time, even when he and his brother would have friends or girlfriends over.

Looks fine but wish someone was just making a TV show based on James Ellroy's LA Quartet books instead

Of course it was filmed in advance. He found out last Monday at 2pm Eastern that Daft Punk wasn't coming. No way he could get all that stuff filmed and book Robin Thicke in a little over 24 hours.

If you listen to the recent Jeff Garlin podcast with Poehler she says that she is constantly talking to Rob Lowe about The Outsiders

I definitely this stuff doesn't taste very good at all, but I also feel like putting it in a lager isn't helping matters any. I'm not sure what kind of cheap ale you could put it in though.

They have never known what to do with Ann, as the AV Club has set many times. As for Traeger…kind of always felt Rob Lowe wouldn't be on this show forever, plus his character is kind of running its course. Still a bummer.

God the video quality. Is it 1999?

I think you need to add "except many key episodes like the pilot and most season enders" to the "most episodes are available to stream on Netflix" sentence

Well it's getting a sequel with Batman, which I think only helps the box office. Hopefully it's also a good movie.

Well if there's ever a superhero who would be dour I guess it's Batman. Wolverine may be a bad-ass and he has a very very long history and the government experiments and he's generally angry, but he also is a smart-ass with a sense of humor.

Was that John Krasinski as the voice of the MARSAC special ops guy?

I think if you ever see the movie it will not be as pompous and dour as you think it is, or it's been portrayed by critics who loathed it. I get what you're saying, but do you also think that Nolan's batfilms were pompous and dour? I also didn't find it particularly mopey or angsty. They introduced concepts to the

First of all I thought there were a few jokes in Man of Steel, but not as many as Superman. But I still had fun watching Man of Steel. For me Superman is a movie I can show my young son and it's fun and goofy and not too violent and there are no real moral questions asked or answered. It's a fine movie and it's what I

Well I know that's what Lucas and Spielberg said…they also believe there will be tiered pricing for movies…big budget, big ticket price, small budget, small ticket price. Dynamic pricing is interesting…sports teams have been getting away with it for years now. I actually think to a certain degree that dynamic pricing

And also no mention of Fast and Furious 6, which the AV Club deigned to be a good movie when they reviewed it. Even though it's just big and dumb and loud like they claim Man of Steel is.

No I get the point of the article, I just happened to like Man of Steel quite a bit.
