If I recall correctly, when Fox sued Universal, claiming that aspects of "Battlestar Galactica" were too derivative of "Star Wars," Universal's countersuit claimed that R2D2 was derivative of Huey, Louie and Dewey …

Michaels was also a producer on "The Tracy Morgan Show."

Was it a new thing for NBC to have the hour-long SNL rerun in prime time prior to the live show? Is that going to be regular, or was it just a one-off, or a test, or does anybody know?

Thought the same thing myself.

I am pretty sure that on the previous episode, it was Pardo reading the cast names (on tape from a previous episode) but then someone else reading the name of the host and musical guest.

I am almost certain that "The Paper Chase" had a few new episodes on PBS in the interim between the CBS run and the Showtime run. I know PBS showed the reruns, but I'm pretty sure they had at least a partial season.

Geeky clarification — the Ryman, which is located in downtown Nashville, was also known as the Grand Ole Opry House for several decades, ending in the mid-1970s, when the current Grand Ole Opry House was built next to the (now closed) Opryland theme park. At that time, the older building went back to being called the

You might very well think so, Mattie, but I couldn't possibly comment.

I think that there was a pilot episode / TV movie called "Still The Beaver," which may be what you're thinking of.
