Ruth Buzzi actually has an entertaining Twitter account: @Ruth_A_Buzzi.

Actually, at one point in the past "Thunderball" was the only Bond work not controlled by the Albert Broccoli / Eon, and it was remade, loosely, by different producers, as "Never Say Never Again," also starring Sean Connery. I remember reading that one of the producers said at the time that they thought they could get

Oral Roberts
During the early 1980s, when I was a student at Oral Roberts University, there was a period of a few months when the Kroffts, as strange as this sounds, produced Oral's weekly TV show. It was the only period when the show wasn't produced at the TV studios on campus in Tulsa (although no reference was made

TCM for Kids
I enjoyed the summer that Kenny hosted the family-oriented Sunday night movie (what is now called "Essentials Jr.") that they do during the summer months on TCM. He did it in the style of an old-time kids show host, surrounded by a cast of kids. His version was called "Funday Night at the Movies"; they

Yes, and Ted Levine, whom most people know as the police captain on "Monk," was quite good as Starbuck. (I always liked Levine as Alan Shepard in "From the Earth to the Moon.")

Tom Scott
Tom Scott, a fine musician but apparently a poor judge of comedy, was the bandleader for *both* "The Pat Sajak Show" and "The Chevy Chase Show."

Narnia
Funny you should mention Narnia. I never realized "Doctor Who" premiered the day after the Kennedy assassination, but that means it also premiered the day after C.S. Lewis' passing.

Jim Henson
Um … wasn't he in the process of selling to Disney at the time of his death? That sale fell through because of his death, although Disney continued to distribute some of the Henson products, and then later, a new agreement was negotiated. Or am I remembering that wrong?

Thank You For Smoking
Can't believe no one's mentioned "Thank You For Smoking" yet. He was great in that as well.

You might think so, Mattie …
… but I couldn't possibly comment. I adored "House of Cards," and enjoyed its sequels (though not as much as the original), and I don't see any need for a remake per se. But I have enough of a soft spot for Spacey that maybe I'll just ignore the fact that it's a remake and pretend it's an

Did anyone see the little video they released last year where Dan Harmon tells the cast the show has been renewed? He says something like "I'm afraid I have bad news. (pause) You're going to have to work with Chevy for another year." It was obviously meant as gentle ribbing, but Chevy has this frozen exprssion like he

I've said it before
and I'll say it again; "Paint Your Wagon" is by far the best musical that Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin ever made together.

Sheriff of Nottingham
The Errol Flynn movie did, in fact, include the Sheriff of Nottingham (IMDb says he was played by Melville Cooper), and I remember him; he just wasn't the primary antagonist. I recall him being a short, rotund fellow. Now you've given me an excuse to re-watch one of my all-time favorites.

Where was Chevy?
Was he not on the panel or just not in the photo?
